About Nick
Nick has been with the Shire since 2011, originally in the role of Coordinator Strategic Planning and Sustainability, before becoming Manager Planning Services and acting for significant periods in the previous Director of Sustainable Development role.
Nick has considerable expertise in planning and infrastructure and his experience includes both public and private sector planning, project development and delivery. Before working at the Shire Nick was responsible for a team preparing the City Plan for Tauranga City in New Zealand which included working on strategic direction, the statutory planning rules and the integration of major infrastructure considerations for the City.
Prior to working at Tauranga City Nick was partner in a local planning consultancy in Western Australia after working as a Senior Planner for The Planning Group. These roles followed an earlier stint as a planner at the Shire of Augusta Margaret River in the early 2000’s.
Nick has a Bachelor’s degree in Resources and Environmental Planning, and post graduate qualifications in project management.
