Flu season is here, and getting vaccinated is one of the best ways to protect yourself, your family and the wider community
This year, free flu vaccines are available in WA until 31 July for people aged 12 to 64 years who are not otherwise eligible for a free vaccine under the National Immunisation Program. The 2026 WA Health Nasal Spray Influenza Vaccine Program also offers FluMist, a needle-free nasal spray vaccine, free for children aged 2 to 17 years in WA. You can find this at your local GP or pharmacy.
Flu vaccines are available through participating general practices, pharmacies, Aboriginal medical services and community health clinics.
While the vaccine is free for eligible people, some providers may charge a consultation or service fee. Call ahead to confirm availability, eligibility and any costs.
If you have questions or are unsure about the vaccine, speak with your doctor, pharmacist or immunisation provider.
Keeping our community protected and encouraging residents to stay up to date with vaccinations is a priority under the Shire’s Public Health Plan.
