We are offering rebates to support residents who would like to start composting or introduce a worm farm at home
The rebate program aims to make home based organic waste systems more accessible to the community, helping reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill and lowering methane emissions. Composting and worm farming also improve soil health and support more sustainable gardening practices.Residents can apply for a rebate on a range of eligible items, including:
• Compost tumblers (up to $80 rebate)
• Bokashi buckets (up to $50 rebate)
• Compost bins (up to $40 rebate)
• In ground worm farms (up to $40 rebate)
• Tiered worm farms (up to $80 rebate)
• Pet waste composters (up to $50 rebate)
The rebate is available to Shire residents who purchase approved items and submit proof of purchase through the online application form.
More information, including eligibility guidelines and the application link, is available at www.amrshire.wa.gov.au/compost-rebate.
