Inspirational Shire Trainee Shines After Hard Work and Dedication

Inspirational Shire Trainee Shines After Hard Work and Dedication

Our Shire Trainee, Jett Higgins won two awards at the recent Department of Communities Achiever Awards.

The Registered Training Award and Community Spirit Award trophies were presented last week by Premier Mark McGowan at the WA Museum Boola Bardip. It was the first time the enthusiastic trainee had met the Premier.

Jett is gaining work experience in various areas of the Shire including the Margaret River Recreation Centre, Margaret River Library and the Planning & Development at the Shire Office and has been praised for his work ethic.

The future shines bright for this young man who fills up his free time volunteering and playing for local sporting groups including soccer, volleyball, netball and AFL! He hopes to move to the big city to help people and make an even bigger impact.

If you or someone you know is interested in working for the Shire, check out our current job vacancies on our website.
