Introducing Quiet Hour at the Margaret River Shire office

We are excited to introduce a new initiative to support inclusivity and accessibility in our community.

Starting 3 June 2025, the Margaret River Shire Office will host a low sensory quiet hour every Tuesday from 10am to 11am.

This dedicated hour is designed to create a welcoming and calm environment for individuals who may find high sensory environments challenging.

During Quiet Hour, visitors can access services such as Department of Transport transactions and general Shire enquiries in a low-sensory setting.

To support the diverse needs of our community, our friendly customer service team will remind staff and visitors to help maintain a calm atmosphere throughout Quiet Hour. Lights will be dimmed and music turned off to create a soothing and comfortable environment.

We invite all community members who may benefit from a quieter space to visit us during this time.
