Lifeguard patrols set to resume for busy summer at River Mouth Beach
Surf Life Saving WA beach lifeguards will return for their sixth season of service at the popular Margaret River Mouth Beach, continuing their commitment to keeping beachgoers safe over the busy summer and holiday period.Contracted by the Shire of Augusta Margaret River, lifeguards will be patrolling seven days a week between 10am to 5pm, from 18 December 2025 through until 25 April 2026.
Shire President Julia Jean-Rice said the Shire is delighted to once again partner with Surf Life Saving WA to deliver this vital community service.
“It’s fantastic to have the Surf Life Saving WA team back on board for another summer,” said President Jean-Rice.
“As the warmer weather draws locals and visitors back to the coast, our seasonal lifeguards play a crucial role in helping everyone enjoy the beach safely.
“We’re reminding beachgoers to follow the advice of our lifeguards – swim between the red and yellow flags, surf outside of the flagged area, and never enter the ocean after drinking alcohol.
“The beach is a beautiful place to enjoy, but the ocean can be unpredictable. Our goal is to help manage those risks and ensure every visit is a safe one.”
Surf Life Saving WA is the state’s leading provider of professional lifeguard services, and this season’s team is once again ready to keep the community safe, offer friendly advice, and share valuable information about beach and water safety.
