We’re getting ready to carry out road remediation works on streets around the Margaret River town centre in mid to late November
Works are planned for Willmott Avenue between Bussell Highway and Le Souef Street, Le Souef Street between Willmott Avenue and Churchill Avenue, Ned Higgins Lane between Willmott Avenue and Churchill Avenue, and Fearn Avenue between the bus bay and Coles.Crews will be on site from approximately 7am to 5pm. We expect the works to take approximately two weeks, weather permitting. Access will return outside work hours.
While works are underway, traffic management will include stop-and-go traffic, road closures and signed detours. Ned Higgins Lane between Willmott and Churchill Avenue will close for one full day, with additional access restrictions while kerb and footpath improvements are completed. Businesses will remain open and accessible to customers, and people directly affected will be contacted before work starts.
We’re doing the work before the busy season and coordinating the streets together to keep things efficient. If you’re travelling through the town centre, please plan ahead, allow extra time and avoid the work area if you can.
We’ll contact nearby residents, businesses and key organisations directly with more detailed information.
