Proposed Rates for the 2023-24 Financial Year

A message from the Shire President

Council is proposing a 4.75% increase to rates for the 2023-24 financial year. We are very aware of the cost-of-living pressures on ratepayers and members of our community, however cost increases are also putting pressure on the Shire’s finances. The cost of providing services, facilities and maintaining roads and infrastructure have gone up considerably. Council have made this proposal with a view to balancing a local inflation rate estimated to be around 5.8% for the present year and the expected growth of rateable properties in our shire.

Further information about the proposal and details on how to make a submission can be found below.

Submissions close at 9am on Monday 19 June 2023.
