The Shire of Augusta Margaret River has received a planning application for the conversion of an existing dwelling including additions to be used as an Early Learning Childcare Centre.

The proposed Childcare Centre is located at 7 Hillview Rd, Augusta and includes the neighboring reserve land for car parking, see proposed plans on Your Say for further detail.

A summary of the proposal is as follows:

• The zoning of the properties is Public Purposes
• The existing building on Lot 863 will be converted including additions to the rear to accommodate the childcare use
• Lot 30709 will provide adequate parking requirements of one bay per five children/staff
• Operation hours: 8am-6pm Monday to Friday
• License provisions: registered service for up to 30 children
• Development proposal includes vegetation clearing to Lots 863 & 30709 to meet bushfire separation requirements within 21m radius from proposed dwelling and additions
