Restricted Burning Period ends

The Autumn Restricted Burning Period will end at midnight on Monday 12 May.

This means a Permit to Burn is no longer required from Tuesday. 

Thanks to everyone who has done the right thing over the past few months – you’ve helped to keep our community and volunteer firefighters safe.
 
During the unrestricted period, please continue to take care when lighting a fire. 

• Check the weather forecast and avoid windy days
• Check the daily Australian Fire Danger Ratings.
• Make a courtesy call to your local Fire Control Officer before lighting up.
