Now’s your chance. There are five vacancies to be filled this election, four full-term positions and one two-year term.

If you are a local who cares deeply about our environment, our people and our shared future, consider nominating for Council.

What does an elected member do?
Councillors play a vital role in shaping the direction of our Shire. The role includes:
•    Representing the interests of residents and ratepayers
•    Helping to set strategic priorities and budgets
•    Making decisions on planning, infrastructure and services
•    Engaging with residents, businesses and community groups

You don’t need to be an expert. Just someone who listens, cares and wants to make a difference.

Hear from some of the passionate elected members you'll be working alongside.

Nominations open: Thursday 28 August 2025

Whether you’re a long-time resident, a small business owner, a volunteer or someone who simply wants to give back, your voice matters.
