Rosa Brook Road works notification

The Shire will soon start works to complete the full reconstruction and widening of Rosa Brook Road between Jindong-Treeton Road and Darnell Road. The project will be delivered in stages as outlined below.

Stage 1 – Mobilisation and preparation works
Commencing Tuesday 27 January
 

• Works will be completed under stop and go single lane closures and delays are expected.
• Activities include mobilisation and delivery of drainage components and materials to prepare for culvert renewals.
• No property access will be impacted during this stage.
• Traffic management will be in place and delays are expected. Please consider taking another route where possible, and follow signage and directions from traffic controllers.

Stage 2 – Culvert renewals and road reconstruction works
Commencing Monday 2 February
 

• Works will be completed under a full road closure between 7am and 6pm (Monday to Friday).
• The closure will apply to the section between Jindong-Treeton Road and Darnell Road. Outside of working hours the road closure will be removed and the road will be open to traffic.
• Works include culvert and table drain renewals, road formation widening, and importation of new pavement material.
• The closure is expected to be in place for one month, ending in early March (weather permitting).
• Detours will be in place. Please follow detour signage and instructions from traffic controllers.
• Property access within the closure site will remain available at all times for local residents only. Delays are expected, short detours may be required, and Shire staff and contractors will work closely with affected residents to minimise impact. 

Stage 3 – Final pavement works and sealing
Commencing Tuesday 3 March

• Works will be undertaken under stop and go single lane closures and delays are expected.  
• Activities include water binding, compaction, final trimming of pavement, sealing of the new road surface, and installation of signs, line marking and associated road furniture.
• No property access will be impacted during this stage.

Works are expected to be completed by Easter (weather permitting). Variable message boards will be in place to provide advance notification to traffic. Local residents and directly affected businesses will be notified by the Shire.
