Shire works watch

Shire works watch: projects happening next week

ROSA BROOK ROAD

Upgrade works on Rosa Brook Road (between Jindong Treeton Road and Darnell Road) are continuing with final pavement works and sealing under stop and go traffic control.

No property access impacts. Works are expected to be completed by Easter (weather permitting).

WALLCLIFFE ROAD

On Monday 9 March we will be returning to Wallcliffe Road to finish repair works.

The road will be closed between Tyrone Loop and Mansfield Ave.

From Tuesday 10 March, stop-and-go traffic management will be in place. Please take a different route if you can.

WARNER GLEN

Upgrade works are underway to formalise and seal several intersections along Warner Glen Road. Intersections are being sealed for 20 metres to improve safety and support ongoing maintenance grading. Some sites are also being prepared for asphalting, with new drainage culverts installed where required.

Stop and go traffic management will be in place throughout the works. Completion is expected before Easter (weather permitting).

Locations include:
•    Holland Road
•    Brooks Road (historical site entrance/exit and bus stop loop)
•    Chapman Pool campground entrance
•    Patmore Road
•    Campbell Road
•    Marsh Road

VICTORIA PARADE, AUGUSTA

We will soon begin upgrade works along Victoria Parade to fix long standing drainage and pavement issues. The project includes new sub soil drainage, renewed kerbs and pavement, upgraded drainage pits and replacement of damaged asphalt sections.

During construction, there will be some short-term impacts, including detours and road closures. Local access will be maintained at all times.

Works are expected to be completed before Easter (weather permitting).

JINDONG-TREETON ROAD

Major upgrade works to replace the ageing timber bridge on Jindong–Treeton Road are underway. A full road closure between Osmington Road and Treeton Road will be in place from 10 March for approximately eight weeks.

The project includes removing the existing timber bridge, installing a new concrete culvert, resurfacing the approaches, widening the bridge zone and upgrading guard rails. Heavy vehicles will be detoured via Osmington Road, with signage in place. Local access will be maintained.

This project is fully funded through the Federal Government’s Roads to Recovery Program.
