Shire works watch: projects happening next week
WALLCLIFFE PATH

Construction of the final section of the path between Kevill Road and Caves Road is underway next week. Works will run from next week.

Traffic management will be in place throughout the works, so please slow down and follow directions.

DRUIDS GROUNDS, WITCHCLIFFE

Works start next week to upgrade irrigation and repair turf in the grassed area between Druids Hall and the public toilets.

The toilets will remain open via Bussell Highway, while the grassed area will be closed for safety.

The upgrade is expected to be finished before Easter and will help the grounds better support increasing community use.

LEEUWIN TRAIL

Sections of the Leeuwin Trail boardwalk will be partially closed while contractors complete scheduled timber treatment works following the recent installation.

The trail itself will remain open throughout, with only half the boardwalk closed at any one time. Works will begin later this week and are expected to take around one week to complete.

Please follow onsite signage and take care around workers and equipment.

GLENARTY ROAD & BRIDGE

Glenarty Road is now open. Bridge upgrade and road reconstruction works are continuing. Minor traffic impacts are expected, including occasional stop and go traffic.

The bridge will need to close for a few hours next week while the final asphalt layer is applied to the deck.

Detours will be in place during this short closure, and the works will be scheduled outside school bus times.

ROSA BROOK ROAD

Pavement works and sealing are now complete along Rosa Brook Road, between Jindong-Treeton Road and Darnell Road, with line marking and guidepost installation to follow in the coming weeks.

There are no property access impacts, and all works are expected to be finished before Easter, weather permitting.

WALLCLIFFE ROAD

Line marking is now complete. Night works will begin shortly to install audible edge lines, with stop and go traffic management in place during these works.

WARNER GLEN

Upgrade works are underway to formalise and seal several intersections along Warner Glen Road. Intersections are being sealed for 20 metres to improve safety and support ongoing maintenance grading. Some sites are also being prepared for asphalting, with new drainage culverts installed where required.

Stop and go traffic management will be in place throughout the works. Completion is expected before Easter (weather permitting).

VICTORIA PARADE, AUGUSTA

We have begun upgrade works along Victoria Parade to fix long standing drainage and pavement issues.

The project includes new sub soil drainage, renewed kerbs and pavement, upgraded drainage pits and replacement of damaged asphalt sections.

During construction, there will be some short-term impacts, including detours and road closures. Local access will be maintained at all times.

JINDONG-TREETON ROAD

Major upgrade works to replace the ageing timber bridge on Jindong-Treeton Road are underway. A full road closure between Osmington Road and Treeton Road will be in place from 10 March for approximately eight weeks.

The project includes removing the existing timber bridge, installing a new concrete culvert, resurfacing the approaches, widening the bridge zone and upgrading guard rails.

Heavy vehicles will be detoured via Osmington Road, with signage in place. Local access will be maintained.
This project is fully funded through the Federal Government’s Roads to Recovery Program.
