Over the last fortnight, the Shire of Augusta Margaret River and Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) rangers and WA Police worked together to shut down two illegal ‘bush doofs’.
These unauthorised events pose risks to public safety and the environment, including potential bushfires, damage to sensitive areas, noise impacts, and pressure on emergency services.
Closer collaboration with DBCA is one of the key actions arising from the community working group actions. It’s great to see collaboration amongst agencies to help support pressures in the region.
