What’s On Wadandi Boodja in February

Shire supported events happening this month

The kids may be back at school, but summer is far from over.

February marks the start of Bunuru – the hottest of the Wadandi’s six seasons and Season of Adolescence. Long days and short nights, trees heavy with fruit, and warm weather make it the perfect time to be outdoors and enjoy the natural bounty of this ‘second summer’. There’s even a festival dedicated to the season that you won’t want to miss!

Now in its fifth year, Undalup’s Bunuru Festival is a vibrant celebration of Wadandi culture. This free family-friendly event brings the community together to share stories, learn new skills and celebrate country. Plus there’s an exciting line-up of live music featuring some of Western Australia’s best Indigenous talent.

Alongside the festival, there are much-loved community favourites like the Cowaramup Sundowners, plus a range of fun, free activities to get you outside and enjoying all that makes our Shire such a great place to live. From surf lessons and BMX coaching clinics to a brand-new outdoor movement experience that combines dancing, walking, and silent disco headphones, there’s something for everyone to get out, connect, and thrive.

We’re so proud to support these diverse events that connect, strengthen, and celebrate our unique community. Check out the full list below.
