Witchcliffe Main Street Activation Project Underway James Huston pictured with one of the newly installed bike racks on Witchcliffe's main street

Have you seen the new gabion seating and bike racks installed along the Witchcliffe main street?

Local blacksmith, James Huston, constructed the seating and bike racks as part of our Main Street Activation project, supported by RAC’s Reconnect WA initiative.

James has worked in Witchcliffe for over 15 years and was thrilled to have received the opportunity to create the streetscape elements for his community.

The gabion seating was constructed in early September next to Druids Hall with the help of Witchcliffe locals.

Four bike racks were installed along the main street earlier this month, featuring a customised textured pattern resembling tree rings.

We would like to thank Witchcliffe locals who collaborated with our team to design streetscape elements that embrace Witchcliffe’s unique character and sense of place.

To complete the project, we will be installing a pedestrian crossing near Druids Hall and an art mural designed by Witchcliffe community members.
