More than a book launch, this event is about amplifying voices that deserve to be heard
Artzability Living Stories – Voices of Resilience is a collection of locally written and illustrated works by 11 talented authors, each sharing powerful perspectives shaped by lived experience with disability.
These authors are part of Artzability’s unique weekly arts program for adults living with disabilities, held in Margaret River for over 17 years. Their stories reflect resilience, imagination, and authenticity - inviting audiences to engage with narratives that challenge perceptions, spark curiosity, and inspire deeper understanding.
This project affirms that diverse voices belong at the heart of storytelling and demonstrates how accessible, inclusive events strengthen and enrich everyone involved.
More than a book launch, this event is about amplifying voices that deserve to be heard. It’s an opportunity to connect, listen, and be inspired- while also igniting meaningful conversations around representation, accessibility, and the vital role of disabled voices in the arts. Through shared stories and community engagement, audiences are encouraged to see the world from new perspectives.
Come along to experience the power of storytelling- because when every voice is included, our stories become richer, stronger, and more meaningful.
The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is delighted to support this innovative, inspiring and inclusive project through our Community Development Grant program.
