A conversation about healthy aging

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River, in collaboration with Augusta Community Resource Centre, invites you to celebrate WA Seniors Week with free morning tea and a conversation about living well and ageing well

We’ll be joined by Dr Shannon King, Consultant Geriatrician, WA Country Health Service for an informative and practical discussion about healthy ageing, covering:

  • Exercise and nutrition

  • Medication management and de-prescribing

  • Advance care planning

  • Engaging with My Aged Care

  • Building social connections

This free event is the latest in the Shire’s monthly community conversation series, which has already covered topics including online scams and end-of-life matters.

More about Seniors Week

WA Seniors Week is held annually each November to recognise the important role older people play in our community and celebrate their valuable contribution.

This event is one of two events proudly hosted by the Shire of Augusta Margaret River to coincide with WA Seniors Week, as part of our commitment to building an inclusive and accessible community for all, including our older residents (see Age-Friendly Community Plan 2024- 28).
