Get set for the Western Australia Margaret River Pro 2026

The Western Australia Margaret River Pro is one of only three Australian events on the World Surf League (WSL) World Championship Tour, and your chance to watch the world's best surfers in action!

The 2026 season marks the 50th year of professional surfing, featuring 12 stops across nine countries, including a refreshed format, an expanded women’s field, and an all-in Pipe Masters finale. A Margaret River, with its powerful and unpredictable waves, continues to play a key role in shaping the World Title race.

Spectators can watch all the action live and free at Surfers Point, with the bulk of the competition taking place on Main Break and The Box.  The event hub has a true festival vibe with big screens showing replays, expert commentary, food trucks and merchandise stands. But best of all, it's a chance for young (and not so young) groms to get up close and personal with their surfing idols.

Attending the event

Competition Days: The WSL makes the call on which days to run the event, based on the conditions. To check if the event is on, off, or on hold, download the app or follow the WSL on social media.

Message boards near the Margaret River Skate Park and the Margaret River Golf Club will advise if the site is at capacity. If so, please consider watching the event online at the WSL website, or at participating local businesses - check out the event guide for details.

Parking: Will be available at McLeods Paddock, Wallcliffe Road opposite the Margaret River Golf Course on the weekends of the event, and the shuttle bus will run on a continuous loop from Surfers Point to McLeods parking area. Parking will be available at Riflebutts Reserve during weekdays.

Buses: Will run on weekends - leaving from McLeods Paddock, Wallcliffe Road (opposite the Margaret River Golf Course) to Surfers Point. Buses will run from 8am to 4pm daily, depending on the competition schedule. There is no time schedule as they run on rotation.
