Are you a capable and people-focused HR professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a local government environment? We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Advisor to provide high-quality, contemporary HR advice and support across the organisation.
About the Role
Reporting to the Coordinator Human Resources, this role provides a broad range of HR advisory services to internal stakeholders. You will play a key role in recruitment and selection, employee relations, workforce planning, policy development, and HR systems, while supporting managers and staff with practical, compliant and people-centred solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end recruitment, selection and onboarding processes
- Provide professional HR advice aligned with legislation, industrial agreements and organisational policies
- Assist with employee relations matters including grievances, performance and disciplinary processes
- Contribute to workforce planning, training needs analysis and organisational development initiatives
- Develop, review and maintain HR policies, procedures, guides and reporting
About You
- Demonstrated experience providing HR advisory services in a complex environment
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources (or significant progress towards), or equivalent experience
- Sound understanding of HR legislation and employment frameworks
- Strong research, analytical and report-writing skills

- Continuing, Full-Time employment (76 hours/fortnight)
- Level 6/7 ($86,504 - $101,397 per annum) IA 2025-26 rate
