After years of planning and strong community support, the Leeuwin Biddi trail is almost complete.
The new 3.1 km section runs from Dead Finish to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, forming part of a long-term vision to connect Augusta’s town centre to the lighthouse and link into the wider regional trail network. The dual-use path is designed for all ages and abilities, with a mix of fine granite gravel and accessible concrete.
It’s a safe, scenic route for walkers and cyclists, winding through some of Augusta’s most spectacular coastline.
To celebrate, the Shire of Augusta Margaret River is inviting the community to a thank you event on Saturday 6 December at Augusta Boat Harbour.
The Leeuwin Biddi project was proudly supported by the Department of Transport through the WA Bicycle Network Grant and guided by environmental consultants to protect rare flora and fauna.
Bring your walking shoes, bikes and prams, and join us to celebrate this milestone for Augusta.
