Consultation open for proposed wind farm at Scott River We are now collecting community feedback on the Development Application (DA) for the proposed Synergy wind farm at Scott River.

In October 2025, SynergyRED submitted a DA to the Shire for a proposed wind farm in Scott River. The proposal is for up to 20 wind turbines up to a maximum height of 250m with a projected output of 100MW.

This project will be assessed through the State decision-making body known as the Development Assessment Panel (DAP), and the Shire is collecting community feedback as part of this process.

Consultation is now open. We encourage everyone in the community to take the time to review the documents available on our YourSay page and share their feedback.

Information about the proposal will also be on display in the Augusta Shire Office during normal office hours for the duration of the community feedback period.

The consultation will close at 4pm on Friday 19 December 2025.

You can find information about the next steps for this project, the role of the Shire and other government agencies, and the new Local Planning Policy we are developing on the Shire’s website here.
