Get a FREE Scorecard Energy Assessment Worth $250

Are you planning a renovation, wanting to make your home more comfortable, go all-electric or reduce your energy bills?

It can be daunting to know where to start or where to invest your money to improve the energy efficiency of your home, so we’re partnering with West Wave Energy Assessment to offer Augusta Margaret River residents a FREE Scorecard Energy assessment worth $250*.

As a part of our Caring for Our Place initiative, we are proud to offer the Scorecard assessment to help residents gain a better understanding of their home’s energy efficiency, information about their main appliances such as heating, cooling and hot water services, as well as practical actions to reduce energy costs and emissions.

What is a Scorecard energy assessment and how will it help me?

The national Residential Efficiency Scorecard is a government-backed program that offers:

  • A complete energy efficient assessment of your home, including a star rating
  • A clear pathway to reduce your energy costs and emissions and make your home more comfortable.

The scorecard assessment will provide advice tailored to your needs, budget and goals, ensuring that your hard-earned money is well spent.

Did you know…

Did you know in 2023 the Shire slashed its emissions, bringing them well below the target set in the Climate Action Plan? We achieved this by making upgrades to lighting, pumps and water heating at the Recreation Centre, switching from gas to electricity, signing up for 100% renewables for our main buildings, and making energy efficiency upgrades to a number of our facilities through a federal grant.

Looking ahead to 2030, we will also:

  • Lobby State Government to adopt the 2019 National Construction Code and future upgrades to the code
  • Undertake a cost benefit analysis of converting streetlights to LED
  • Support the transition to all electric buildings
  • Encourage the community to retrofit with efficient electric appliances
