Major Events Grants Now Open!

Applications for the Major Events Grants are now open. 

Organisations looking to run a major event between 1 July 2024 and 30 June 2025 are encouraged to check their eligibility for the Shire’s Major Events Grants and apply before the closing date of 17 May 2024.

The Major Events Grants play an important role in the Shire’s Strategic Community Plan and aim to support events that promote our region through visitation, maximise economic benefits to local businesses, foster inclusivity and healthy lifestyles, and are environmentally responsible.

Applications for up to $20,000 will be considered.  

Eligible businesses or incorporated not-for-profit organisations must run events that predominantly take place within the boundaries of the Shire of Augusta Margaret River and are open to the general public.

The Major Events Grants are aimed at supporting major events of State or National significance. CineFestOz, Strings Attached and Rapid Ascent have already secured funding for 2024-2025 through multi-year agreements.
