The control of feral and pest animals including rabbits, foxes and pigs is an ongoing problem, which Rangers are having to deal with at an increasing rate.
Trapping and eradication of these feral and pest animals is done bythe Department of Agriculture and Food, Department of Parks and Wildlife and the RSPCA Western Australia. Some of these organisations may provide trap hiring services to the public as well as advice regarding the humane trapping and disposal of feral and pest animals.
Feral cats pose a significant risk to native wildlife, and property owners have an important role to play in the overall control effort. Rangers can assist with cat trap hire and disposal of captured cats.
