About the opportunity

The Shire has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Community Development Officer to join our award-winning team.  In this role, you will be involved in developing and implementing community programs and initiatives that enhance the wellbeing and resilience of our community. 

You will work closely with local residents, community groups, and other stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities and collaborate on projects. 

Previous experience in community development and a relevant qualification are essential. Strong communication, community engagement and project management skills coupled with experience in sourcing/managing grants are key requirements of this position.

  • Continuing employment, Part-time 60.8 hours/fortnight (possibility to increase to full-time)
  • EA Level 6/7 ($82,977 - $97,263 per annum pro-rata)
