You don’t need to ride a bike to experience the excitement of Cape to Cape MTB
Cape to Cape MTB rolls into town next week, and you don’t need to ride a bike to experience the excitement.
Cape to Cape MTB is Australasia’s longest running and biggest multi-day mountain bike race. Starting at Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse and finishing four days later at Cape Naturaliste, riders cover 200km of breathtaking trails – past vineyards, along the coast, through National Parks, forests, farmland, and even finishing at local breweries.
Here’s how you can be part of the action
- Volunteer: whether you know people riding or just want to be involved, you can show your support from start to finish by guiding, cheering, and high-fiving them along the way. You’ll play a crucial role and will be rewarded with a FREE Cape-to-Cape T-shirt, hat and bag, plus water and snacks! Sign up here.
- Sign up the kids & watch the elites in action (right here in town!) – the brand-new Cape Kids event gives 6–17-year-olds the chance to ride on course modelled on the official race, with part proceeds going to the Margaret River Off Road Cycling Association. Then afterwards stay to see some of Australia's best mountain bikers in the 2025 Cape to Cape Open Relay.
- Watch the action - Grab your spot before the 9am start on Thursday 17 Oct to see the speed and skill of the elite riders. For info on the best vantage points go to the official website, and make sure you check for any road closures before heading out.
The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is proud to support this event through our Major Events Grants Program to celebrate our unique identity, bring public spaces to life and create meaningful experience for all.
