Cape to Cape MTB rolls into town on 15 October 2026, and you don’t need to ride a bike to experience the excitement.
Cape to Cape MTB is synonymous with our incredible region and this year marks the 18th edition of Australasia’s longest running and biggest multi-day mountain bike race. The event showcases the very best of Augusta Margaret River by taking riders from across Australia and around the globe on an incredible journey
Starting at Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse and finishing four days later at Cape Naturaliste, riders cover 200km of breathtaking trails – through ancient forests, rugged coastline, world-renowned trails, farmland and spectacular natural landscapes and even finishing at local breweries!
Here’s how you can be part of the action
- Volunteer: whether you know people riding or just want to be involved, you can show your support from start to finish by guiding, cheering, and high-fiving them along the way. You’ll play a crucial role and will be rewarded with a FREE Cape-to-Cape T-shirt, hat and bag, plus water and snacks! Sign up here.
- Sign up the kids & watch the elites in action (right here in town!) - After its inaugural event last year, Cape Kids is back on Wednesday 14 October to gives 6 -17 year olds the chance to be part of the action. Participants receive a race plate, medal, and afterwards stick around for food trucks, entertainment and the Open Invitational Prologue, featuring some of Australia’s top riders.
